The city of Pula

The city of Pula is the largest city in the County of Istria. It is situated on the south-western coast of the Istrian Peninsula. It is widely known for its well-preserved ancient buildings, the most famous of which is the Roman amphitheater commonly known as the Arena, which is nowadays holds the summer film festival and various other cultural manifestations. The other two significant and well-preserved ancient Roman structures are the Triumphal Arch of the Sergeii and the Temple of Augustus. Pula is well connected with the surrounding towns and islands by roads and sea and there is an international airport which connects it to many European cities. Brijuni National Park

Brijuni National Park is a group of 14 islands and islets with Mediterranean vegetation which offer a sense of untouched nature. The islands are rich in cultural and historic sites and residential villas. Ethno Park and Safari Park with numerous native and exotic animal species are located on the islands. A special attraction of Brijuni is the golf course. It is possible to visit the islands by taking an organized tour from Fažana which is 5 km away from Štinjan. You can also take a panoramic sightseeing tour of the islands by boat. The closest islands, St Jerolim and Kozada, can be reached from a small harbour in Štinjan which is next to Brioni Campsite. Fort Punta Christo

Fort Punta Christo was built at the end of the 19th century by the Austro¬Hungarian Monarchy to defend the city of Pula, its main naval port. Located on a small peninsula at 45 meters above the sea level, Fort Punta Christo offers a breathtaking view of the entrance into the bay of Pula as well as Brijuni National Park. After hosting Outlook Festival, the largest European festival of bass music and sound system culture, it has become popular around the world as the top festival location and destination. Cape Kamenjak

Cape Kamenjak is located in the extreme south of the Istrian peninsula, about 10 kilometers away from the city of Pula. It is characterized by a very rugged coastline, with more than 30 picturesque bays surrounded by the crystal clear sea. 11 uninhabited islands are also a part of the archipelago. Visitors can walk along the educational trails, trail of dinosaurs and see dinosaur foot prints. They can also use the variety of sports facilities and relax in some of the numerous bays. Brioni Campsite

Brioni Campsite is located near the City of Pula and opposite Brijuni National Park. It offers enough shade and sun, and there is a beautiful large beach which is both, sandy and rocky. There is various entertainment for children and adults, sports grounds, diving club, a la carte restaurant near the sea, three cafes, a pizzeria, a mini market, a bakery, the newsagent’s, beach equipment rental, exchange office, cash machine (ATM).
